For men, all high heels are one and the same. However, any experienced woman can tell you the difference between a pump and a stiletto right away. There are different types of high heels that you can choose from. As a matter of fact, not all high heels are made for all occasions. Some high heels fit better while some don’t. Let’s get to know the different types of high heels a bit better:
Pumps – these type of high heel is considered a classic. It is mainly designed with closed toes which is perfect for the office environment. However, its design shifts from time to time going from closed to open toe. The heels on pumps vary a lot. This is intended so customer would be able to find a better fitting and comfortable pair.
Stilettos – this is one of the oldest designs of high heels ever made. It has spanned a couple centuries and has never been out of fashion ever since. The heel size on stilettoes are about 2 inches as above. Some are even beyond 5 inches.
Wedges – these are commonly seen being worn by women during summer and other seasons. They are called wedges because of its particular design that resembles that of a wedge (tool). Kitten Heels – the most comfortable type of high heels are kitten heels although its heel size is a bit contradictory to the name “high heels”, it is still considered to be one. These type of heels have the shortest heel length which make them very popular.
